Last week we had our first morning  frost of the winter, yep its that time of the year again where the nights start drawing in earlier and hats and scarves are a must when venturing outside to keep us from getting cold, Winter is officially well on its way! So how to bring the warmth into your little ones room and create a cosy place to be?

Investing in wonderful winter accessories that co-ordinate with your existing design is a great way to ‘wrap up’ for Winter.

Nightlights provide a soft glow that gently illuminates the room without giving too much light out. They also create just the right ambiance you need to read your precious little one their evening story tale. Night lights also offer children who need it that extra sense of security so they can be left on through the night, as the light is soft enough not to disturb their sleep.

Rugs will help to insulate the room, particularly if you have wooden floors. They come in a vast array of shapes and designs. Round ones would work better if you have a smaller room with less floor space, also good for softening rooms with awkward shapes and angles. Rectangular rugs look great in larger sized rooms and can be used to mark off areas.

A soft, warm blanket is perfect to lay over you when sitting in your nursery chair with baby or for your little ones to snuggle with when reading or going to sleep. Punkin Patch recommends  knitted wool or fleece blankets as they are soft and extremely comfortable.  Curtains made from a thicker/heavier fabric used in those dark winter nights and  help to keep the warmth in.

So grab a cup of hot chocolate & enjoy snuggling down to your favourite Disney film, sounds like Punkin & Patch’s perfect way to spend a cold and miserable day!
